Meet Our Pastor

Senior Pastor Sam Thomas

Dr. Samuel W. Thomas came to FBC La Feria after serving as pastor of four other churches in Texas.  He is married to Susanna and they have three grown children.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Biblical studies from the Criswell College in Dallas, a Masters degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, a Doctor of Ministry degree from Lake Charles Bible College in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and a Diploma in Spanish from Rio Grande Bible Institute and Missionary Language School in Edinburg, Texas.  He completed four units of Clincial Pastoral Education from Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He has also done graduate studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. 

God has used his past ministry experience as a pastor, missionary and chaplaincy to prepare him for this present ministry at First Baptist Church of La Feria, Texas.
